Dain is a Brooklyn based artist, and started as a graffiti writer, but moved onto wheat paste, canvas for gallery shows. Dain’s well-known collage pieces start with a black and white photograph, usually of a female film start of the ’50’s. Combining aspects of both periods along with other elements create this concern for ephemeral nature of beauty and fame.
